Beginning with Season 10, Overwatch 2 is set to introduce pivotal updates that promise to enhance the gaming experience for its players. Aaron Keller, the game's director, shared in the latest Developer Update that in an exciting turn of events, all heroes will be accessible to players at no cost. Additionally, the launch of a new shop dedicated to Mythic Skins will enable players to acquire both current and past seasonal Mythic Skins directly, although the details on pricing remain undisclosed.

Further insights from a new blog post clarify the update's impact on the Premium Battle Pass system. Here, players are given the flexibility to control their progression toward Mythic Skin enhancements. This approach allows gamers to choose the extent to which they want to develop each Mythic skin color or model variations or, alternatively, distribute their progression across multiple Mythic hero skins.

The forthcoming season also introduces a change in how Overwatch Coins are earned. Players can now accumulate up to 600 Overwatch Coins per season through both the free and Premium tracks of the Battle Pass. This adjustment marks a shift from the previous system, where coins were rewarded through weekly challenges, which will now grant XP for the Battle Pass instead. This represents a more straightforward method to earn rewards without the need to wait for weekly challenges to reset or rush to complete them within a short timeframe.

Slated to launch in April, Season 10 of Overwatch 2 will also see the addition of a new Damage dealer named Venture, further expanding the game's diverse roster of characters.

These updates signal Overwatch 2's commitment to evolving with its community, offering both new and veteran players more accessibility, choices, and rewards as they engage with the ever-expanding world of the game.
