Further insights from a new blog post clarify the update's impact on the Premium Battle Pass system. Here, players are given the flexibility to control their progression toward Mythic Skin enhancements. This approach allows gamers to choose the extent to which they want to develop each Mythic skin color or model variations or, alternatively, distribute their progression across multiple Mythic hero skins.
The forthcoming season also introduces a change in how Overwatch Coins are earned. Players can now accumulate up to 600 Overwatch Coins per season through both the free and Premium tracks of the Battle Pass. This adjustment marks a shift from the previous system, where coins were rewarded through weekly challenges, which will now grant XP for the Battle Pass instead.
